Medication: DayQuil Severe has the following ingredients: Acetaminophen, Dextromethorphan, Guiafensen, Phenylephrine. The first three should have no effect. The phenylephine is a sympathometic. It has some effect at stimulating Beta and alpha receptors. Propanolol is a Beta blocker, so might antagonize that. However, for a few days to get relief should not be significant issue
