Did dentist look at: Chances are you will be just fine. It is probably not as bad as you perceive. The DA could have hurt you but the area could have been this way before treatment. Please make the dentist aware of this for many reasons. The doctor should see this ASAP, so the injury can be followed for healing. The dentist will want to review technique with the assistant, but mostly will want to help you!

Most likely: And I'm confident that the assistant did not mean to injure you. These thing happen sometimes. Your dentist should be monitoring the injury and advising you on the healing progression.
