A member asked:

What is the meaning of immature follicles in right ovary

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ovulation: Women's ovaries consist of millions of tightly packed eggs. Before these eggs are ready to conceive, they need to mature over a two week period. During that process an egg surrounds itself with fluid - this structure is called a follicle. The follicle starts out tiny and grows to about 2.5 cm in diameter - then it's a "mature" follicle - anything less than 2 cm would be "immature".
