Staph infection?: It is possible that you all are sharing a particular strain of staph bacteria, which may have contaminated both households. Not all people are equally susceptible, so this is a possiblity even if you or other household members don't seem to have the problem. Your husband should see a doctor, ideally an infectious diseases specialist; depending on initial evaluation, maybe your mom and dad as well.
