Mgt: If you mom has a dry cough following a cold, she may have bronchospasm. This can be treated with an inhaler called Albuterol. If she develops a fever, worsening symptoms, she may have a secondary bacterial pneumonia, treated with antibiotics. She should see her primary doctor/clinic for the next step.
