Sounds OK: This sounds just about right. Much of the inflammation in folliculitis isn't infection. If in the pubic area and related to shaving, ingrown hairs might be the main problem. Finish the cephalexin as directed, then echeck with your doctor if the problem is still present after treatment is complete.
