Maybe normal: Odor in general is very subjective. One person's "soapy" might be different for others. Semen naturally has fairly strong odor (and taste). Variation from thin to thick might not mean anything; this can vary with frequency of ejaculation. If your boyfriend thinks his semen is abnormal, especially if colored, he should see a doctor. Otherwise probably everything is OK.
