Creatinine treatment: You need to have a nephrologist (n) find out why your creatinine (c) is 3 and how well your kidneys work. You will need a 24 hour urine collection for creatinine clearance and protein, blood work and a renal ultrasound. Once the cause of your elevated c is found, a plan can be made to attempt to keep your c stable and not lose any more kidney function. See a n and see what can be done.

More important Q: Before one can ask whether high creatinine can be "controlled with medications", it is more important to figure out WHY one has an impaired renal function. That is, is this an acute kidney injury (in the setting of severe dehydration, use of kidney-unfriendly medicines or toxins) or does he/she have chronic kidney disease (e.g. diabetes, longstanding high blood pressure, auto-immune diseases)
