A member asked:

I have a white discolored patch on both of my elbows that is prickly and painful when i touch it . what could it be ??

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Elbow patches: These patches may simply be areas or roughened and toughened skin from years of friction or leaning on them. Dry skin or underactive thyroid are other possibilities. However, psoriasis often involved elbows and knees. Your physician or dermatologist can evaluate these patches for you. In the meantime apply moisturizing lotions or even olive oil to soften the elbow skin.
