Sounds good: Intermittent antibiotic treatment is often effective in preventing recurrent UTI in women. The usual approach is 2-3 doses a week, not daily. Once a week should be fine, certainly is safe, and it seems to be working. But still best to inform the doc who prescribed it and make sure s/he agrees.
