No!: Tests, tests, tests! We don't talk about "tired blood" any more. Anemia is defined as having too low a concentration of red blood cells in the blood stream (< some percentage, which varies based on age and sex). % body iron measures other things also, including amt of iron in bone marrow. They are not directly comparable! Related, but not the same.

Yes: You'll feel crummy with iron deficient before you turn anemic. Iron makes your muscles and mitochondria work.
