A member asked:

I am starting to take pyrazinamide, rifampin and ethambutol but also i have ra and i start to fell pain in my joints again is safe to take hydrocodone?

It's not unsafe: but may or may not be the best answer. There are multiple medications, both new and old, to treat rheumatoid arthritis, and reduce the painful joints by actually reducing the arthritis itself. Hydrocodone or any other opioid will reduce pain somewhat, but carry risks of escalating doses, dependency and even eventually INCREASING the pain itself. It should be used short-term. See a rheumatologist
