A member asked:

At what age it is safe for children to start wearing contact lenses?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Define safe ???: I have had them started as early as infancy when a congenital cataract was removed to maintain usable vision in that eye.It took effort and training but the kid is a fine adult today. I think for optional cases it is smart to wait until the kid can be responsible for their personal activities/hygiene which would be after 8 or so. Each case is a bit unique.
