Depends on outcome,: as usual. Big advantage: this could potentially result in the fistula closing & healing from the colon wall outward (optimal) versus surgery. The downside: bleeding or inadequate closure & healing of the colon wall because less precise than with open exposure, surgical division & careful suturing with more direct control of potential bleeding. Surgery: requires more injury&possible complications.
