Diarrhea: If these symptoms are only recent, one suspects food poisoning or a viral gastroenteritis. Both of these will resolve in a few days of rest, drinking adequate fluids, avoidance of harsh roughage and taking kaopectate to control diarrhea. However if the symptoms are chronic, recurrent then irritable bowel syndrome may be the problem. Consult a gastroenterologist for evaluation as needed.
