Hmmm...: Top choices are sesamoid bone injury, neuroma, stress fracture or pressure in the metatarsal bones. All are readily curable with time and shoe/activity modification.

I'd start with...: A "dancer's pad." i don't know why they are called this, but it is a pad worn on the bottom of the foot to accommodate the sesamoids under the first metatarsal head to keep them from bearing as much weight as they usually do. Then otc anti-inflammatory meds such as aleve (naproxen). If these don't help as much as you need, see a podiatrist.
