Hi, i have really bad pain on the lateral side of my foot when i push down on it. it is most severe when i push down at the joint of my pinky toe. ?

Schedule Appt: See a physician for an evaluation and possible radiographs. Radiographs are simple and are a first line tool in evaluating foot structure as is a clinical examination into the source of your pain.

Soft tissue or not.: I'm not sure if you mean that the side of your foot is being pushed down or you are pushing down on the side of you foot, as with your finger doing the pushing. Either way, a history and clinical exam would be most useful. Both help isolate the exact location as well as the depth of the pain. X-rays may or may not be useful unless there is a history of trauma or an older stress fracture.
