A member asked:

I had an ablation done last may due to heavy bleeding from fibroiods and now i'm having extreme cramping but no bleeding. whats wrong?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fibroids: Heavy cramping in the setting of fibroids, but no bleeding, and having had an ablation indicates that the ablation was effective in abating the bleeding, but not helping the fibroids, which it is not capable of doing. The fibroids could possibly have grown, or the uterus may be trying to expel one or more fibroids. A gynecological exam is warranted.
