Many factors.: There are many things which predispose women to UTIs. Women naturally have shorter urethra, which allows bacteria easier access to the bladder. Hygiene is also an issue (wipe front to back, always, after using bathroom). Obesity & large labia can cause obstruction, predisposing to UTIs. Genetics also plays a part - if your mother or sister had frequent UTIs, you're likely to as well. HopeThisHelps
