Positive for life: Your PPD will remain positive for as long as you live. It is not a sign of active TB. But there is no reason again have a PPD, and it could be harmful, with an aggressive reaction with an open wound and delayed healing. If a PPD is ever offered, tell them you've been treated for tuberculosis and probably they will agree it should not be done.
