A member asked:

What are the functions of pancreas? why does it becomes wrak ot passive in ones life?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Twofold: Pancreas produces digestive enzymes; functions well unless you have pancreatitis (inflammation) due to alcohol, triglycerides, gall stones, etc. Also produces hormones, which decline with pancreatitis but also over time, particularly if you're obese w/insulin resistance and have a family history of diabetes. Check w/your doctor.
