Not relevant: Ferritin levels reflect body stores of iron and may be elevated in many instances of inflammation. Ferritin levels are not a reliable indicator of pancreatic cancer. In fact there are not good blood tests for pancreatic cancer. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.

Important marker: A pubmed.com study of ferritin and pancreatic cancer reveals studies that show ferritin has been investigated as a predictor of mortality in those diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Studies show it is not predictive of pancreatic cancer because it is elevated in several disease states including pancreatitis, liver disease, chronic inflammation, and flares of certain diseases.
