Possibilities: Hard to say the exact cause of the rash. Many rashes overlap in appearance. A rough rash- possibly means a sandpaper- like rash as in scarlatinoform rash. However your child could have a rash due to a variety of viruses. Best to have your child examined by his/her doctor for a definitive diagnosis.
