If you can move: your hand/wrist/elbow/shoulder without anything but some mild pain..and there is no severe bruising, swelling or deformity chances are the pain is from simple contusion(s) (mild bruises) where you hit por tried to "break your fall" APPLY ICE ELEVATE and REST (RICE) first 48-36 hours then HOT MOIST PACKS! Wrist injury: It may just be a sprain. Apply ice and rest it. If it gets worse you will need a medical evaluation and a X-ray
