Depending on the etiology of the decrease in EF ( stenosis, atherosclerotic disease versus cardiomyopathy) it can e improved with medication and exercise and at times interventions like stents or pacemakers. Yes, possible.: Assuming that "heart work" means ejection fraction (EF), or the percent of blood that is ejected with each heart beat (Normally, EF is ~65%), with 6 months of intensive titration (i.e., monitoring & dose adjustment), if the medication prescribed for heart failure works, you'll see improvement in the EF. It remains to be seen if it gets to 50% or if other devices needed. Everyone responds different
