78 yr old male has 35% heart work. nurses say exercise is not good in this. can this heart failure be reversed & function increased to 50% with meds?

35%EF: The 78 year old should be involved in cardiac rehab, that is monitored exercise ,as appropriate exercise is actually good for the heart. Depending on the etiology of the decrease in EF ( stenosis, atherosclerotic disease versus cardiomyopathy) it can e improved with medication and exercise and at times interventions like stents or pacemakers. Follow up with cardiologist and cardiac rehab

Yes, possible.: Assuming that "heart work" means ejection fraction (EF), or the percent of blood that is ejected with each heart beat (Normally, EF is ~65%), with 6 months of intensive titration (i.e., monitoring & dose adjustment), if the medication prescribed for heart failure works, you'll see improvement in the EF. It remains to be seen if it gets to 50% or if other devices needed. Everyone responds different
