Delirium: Delirium comes on quickly and clears slowly - but metabolic encephalopathies from drug-drug interactions don't usually take four months to clear. It is possible that she has other issues that are prolonging her hospitalization. Ask her physicians - they will give a much more accurate assessment than someone who is in another state and has never seen her.
