Hoarseness can be a: Symptom of hypothyroidism. When was your thyroid function last checked? Dose of med may be inadequate. Other possible causes: voice strain, chronic smoker, gastro-esophageal reflux, nodules on vocal cords. See pcp/endocrinologist to have thyroid function checked. If ok, see ENT to have throat/larynx/vocal cords checked.
