Never had nosebleeds before 4 months ago. i've had several since. same nostril.when it does bleed it's quite a bit not just spots. is this serious?

Not serious: intermittent nose bleeds are not worrisome - even if you have never had them before. I usually recommend saline mist or gel - like ChitoRhino. Using that as needed throughout the day to keep the nose moisturized can help. See an ENT if it does not improve after these simple measures.
