No way to tell w/o t: ...testing. The "wheezy" cough & phlegm suggests there may be congestion in the lungs. But is it hayfever or a viral infection? or bacterial tracheitis? They all feel the same more-or-less, but are treated differently. Testing of phlegm, blood (allergy tests), chest X-ray, & other tools available to a doctor can sometimes tell the difference.
