It depends on the: type of food eaten. To increase the stool quantity, you need foods that when ingested will increase the bulk. Most of the time, vegetables and things with cellulose would fit the bill. Other easily digestible things such as starch or dairy do not give as much volume to the stool. Be sure to drink a lot of liquids (e.g. water) to increase the water content of stool and therefore ease its way.
