Need investigation: Need additional information, microscopic description of biopsy, special stains done on slides, is all work up done , any tumor markers done , what type of exploration of abdomen done during biopsy etc is needed to point to primary source of tumor ( which is essential for correct chemotherapy ) with out this information any suggestion is unscientific guss work.

Unfortunate: This is usually an unfortunate situation. The most common primary site will be somewhere in the intestinal tract, like the stomach. The pathologists will try many stains on the tissue to help define the origin. This helps with choosing the most appropriate chemotherapy.
