Fever: Continue what you are doing. Are there any other symptoms? Cough, pulling at ears, sore throat? If fever only symptom and otherwise eating and drinking OK would let run its course which might be another 4 days.

Temp how high?: Though the problem is rather simple (fever), the underlying cause can be quite complex. We'll need to know how high the temperature is (in Fahrenheit) & what he was doing at the time, so keep a log book of his symptoms & body temp with you. Motrin wears off.
