Arteries.: If the concern is for vascular disease causing reduced flow to the legs and feet, the problem to evaluate is arterial flow toward the extremities. Vein assessment for this would not be helpful. Typically any physician (such as an internist) can refer to radiology/vascular medicine for a study. Another test consideration for lower extremity would be an ankle:brachial index (ABI).
