Probably not but ...: It is a test to confirm, or not, the presence of gastroesophageal reflux from the stomach back into the esophagus. This can usually be confirmed clinically by the patient's verbal report and administration of a liquid antacid. You don't need a pH probe to confirm it except maybe for research purposes.
