Is taking 2g of a zithromax and 500mg metronidazole okay?

No problem: Either of these could cause stomach upset. Maybe best to wait a few hours after azithromycin (Zithromax) before taking the metrondazole. But no problem if you take them together, if you're prepared to deal with some abdominal discomfort and perhaps nausea. It won't last more than a couple of hours.
