PID is an STD: In general PID is an STD although there are certain exceptions. This is a reasonable choice of antibiotics but close monitoring is required. If PID is treated as an outpatient the patient should be seen for a physician exam 48-72 hours later to confirm improvement.

I had severe lower left pelvic pain and flagyl, ciprofloxacin cleared it up, but now it's coming back. I have other symptoms of PID but no STD or vaginal discharge.
What is the cure or treatment for PID when STD tests are clear ?
I've had a course of metronadizole and now prescribed zithromax is that enough to treat PID?
If i was given 4 tablets of zithromax or an STD treatment, how long enforce i'm cured?
