Maybe: If the case of your previous severe anemia was something other than heavy menstrual bleeding then your periods may now be expected to be heavier. If the cause of your anemia was heavy menstrual bleeding then have your GYN MD find out why.

Anemia: Anemia from iron deficiency related to monthly periods was the likely cause of your anemia rather than due to dietary inadequacies. Since you replenished your iron stores your hemoglobin levels rose to normal and could have made your periods heavier. However if your periods are abnormally heavy with clots or if they are irregular, consult your gynecologist.
