CRPS: Chronic regional pain syndrome may be associated with abnormal temperature sensations of the joints. As for a diagnostic workup bone scans may be used. Various medications may be tried to improve the symptoms. I recommend seeing a rheumatologist and we'll be happy to consult if needed.

Yes: Yes, CRPS can be associated with temperature changes in the affected extremity; usually the limb is cooler than the other side. CRPS is a condition which can affect the sympathetic nervous system, which causes vasoconstriction of the blood vessels leading to decrease in blood flow and a lower temperature on the affected side.
