Voice: If pt. Has cold or flu symptoms or if pt. Spoke, or sung for long time then voice rest( shut up) is the treatment. If change in voice persists for more than one month then laryngoscopy is necessary and other causes must be ruled out. Voice change after strokes require speechtherapist treatment. Voice change after surgery could be b/o tube for anesthesia or a paralysis of the vocal cord or nerve.
