No: Herniated discs may push on nerves but the pain radiates only along the affected nerve(s). For examples, sciatica is not related to the shoulder blade level disc herniation. Sciatica is caused by pressure on lower lumbar nerves. Skin sensitivity to touch is caused by sensitive nerve endings in the skin, not a problem back at the spinal cord or spinal nerves.
