Recommendation: You can use Claritin without D, because the D component causes the dry mouth

Hopefully soon: Claritin (loratadine) can have this side effect, and it can last for some time depending on the elimination of the drug and its metabolite (end product) from your ststem, several factors control such, as other drugs you are on, state of your liver / kidneys, etc.. you will be fine, best wishes
