A few tips..: For healing, avoid additional trauma... should heal on its own in a day or two. Regarding prevention, discuss your history with the dentist and/or assistant before additional radiographs are taken. Although your problem does not occur very often, it is understood that your dentist is attempting to provide you with a thorough exam. These things do happen from time to time.
