Constipation: If your have a strong urge to have a bowel movement but can't, insert a rectal dulcolax suppository or a fleets enema. If you have no urge to have a BM and have no abdominal distension or severe cramps, take a laxative by mouth(cascara, fleets phosphosoda, miralax,etc). If no results you may need manual disimpaction by a nurse or physician. It's best to see your physician if you are in distress
