Generally not.: Most gastroparesis is due to diabetes, a chronic condition & so gastroparesis tends to be permanent. You may have a different condition, chronic constipation (which is actually more like multiple attacks of acute constipation). Gastroparesis: Gastric motility can vary and you may not have true gastroparesis but may have some delayed gastric emptying after ingesting certain foods. Fatty and greasy foods are notorious for causing delayed gastric emptying.
