May need surgery: Transient lost vision in one eye is termed "amaurosis fugax." Same process can lead to stroke, possibly major. RE-check of carotids VERY important. Continue Aspirin, consider statin, NEVER smoke, take BP meds and do what's needed to manage diabetes if these are present.
If carotid imaging shows this is likely source of the problem (plaque over 50%) consider carotid surgery. Hope this help
