You may have: strained a rib cartilage attached to the sternum, or the sternum itself, or a muscle in between those bones. Or you may have an infection of the lungs after you inadvertently swallowed something from your stomach while you were vomiting. Or you may have a blood clot in the lungs. Or you may have acid reflux scarring your esophagus from vomiting. Bottom line is you need to see a doctor to help.
