Not directly: Sleep apnea is related to upper airway compromise by laxity of muscles in the airway, or by central (brain or lung) factors. However if you also have rhinitis and sinusitis, these could of course make it worse. But curing the nasal problems probably won't cure the sleep apnea, which may be what they meant.
