I was on esitalopram 6 months and got off anxiety free 1,year now back on it. how long would i need to take it a second time? is it common to relaspse

More than 6 months.: The current recommendation is 6 month trial for first use of escitalopram. If a patient were to relapse and need to use the medication again it may be for a lifetime. But it should be reassessed every year. Please followup with your psychiatrist and/or psychologist.

Yes: It is not uncommon to have to take it a second time. However, talk to your doctor . Also, do not forget the basics! eat right,exercise and get good sleep. The Holidays give us all a little stress!
