Seems unwise: Expiration dates are a somewhat artificial construct. It's not like a medicine is perfectly good one day and suddenly goes bad the next. So it's often reasonable to take medicines that expired a few months back. But as time goes by they will generally lose potency and might even degrade into toxic compounds. 8 years is a long time past expiration so it probably won't work well and might harm you.
