How long does protonix (pantoprazole) and carafate generally take to start giving relief? i have bad stomach pain and heart burn.

Different: Protonix (pantoprazole) takes at least a day (often several days) to take effect. Sucralafate works within a few hours. Protonix (pantoprazole) won't be your best option for relieving symptoms right away AFTER they are noticed. Have you tried ranitidine or cimetidine?
